The fund of applied research and agribusiness
The aim of the Fund is the coordination of training and research applied programs favouring the development in Agribusiness and improvement of social-economical condition of farms.
The fund facilitates the execution of the priority agricultural programs which are directed to the consolidation of the links between education, science and production. The following problems are of special attention:
- Testing and introduction of new sorts of crops
- Integrated crop pest and disease control
- Study of the market potentialities of ready-made production
- Elaboration and introduction of new technologies
- Rational water usage
- Construction and rehabilitation of water-pipes and water-wells
- Organization of seminars and courses for the improvement of qualification
- Consultation and practical support for farmers
The fund offers grant projects to:
- Organizations carrying out programs
- Scientists and agronomists
- The personnel of the State Agrarian University of Armenia
- The specialists and employees of the regional centers supporting agriculture
- Farmers and managing fellows engaged in the sphere of agribusiness
- Students and magistrates
