One of the biggest higher educational and scientific centers of the RA the State Agrarian University of Armenia (former Armenian Agricultural Academy) was founded in 1994 on the basis of the Armenian Agricultural and Yerevan Zootechnical and Veterinary Institutes. These two higher educational institutions, in their turn, were established in 1930 on the basis of the faculty of agriculture of Yerevan State University.
The educational structure of the State Agrarian University of Armenia is composed of six departments (Agronomy, Foodstuffs Technologies, Economics, Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, Farm Mechanization and Transportation, Hydro-melioration, Land Tenure and Land Cadastre), Master’s Degree, Post-Graduate Department, Department of Agribusiness (Armenian-American Teaching Center), Department of Tuition by Correspondence, Department of Continuous Education and Qualification Improvement, Supplementary Education and Strategically Planning Center, Base Lyceum, regional line classes and the State Agricultural  College The authorities of SAUA are the personnel representative assembly, the Council of the Academy, the Scientific Council and the Academy Administration. The self-government bodies are the Student Council, the Student Scientific Society, the Trade-Union Committee and the Union of Graduates.. .  Details >>
